Who I Am

I'm a Senior Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer based in Colorado with over a decade of experience designing, automating, and operating production infrastructure across defense, utilities, and government sectors. I currently work at Raytheon, where I architect Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms in highly regulated, air-gapped environments.

Before moving into infrastructure engineering, I served in the United States Marine Corps as a system administrator from 2015 to 2019. That experience shaped the way I approach reliability, ownership, and operating under pressure. Those habits carried directly into my civilian career.

I hold an active Top Secret security clearance and a CompTIA Security+ certification. I'm currently completing a Master of Science in Software Engineering at Western Governors University (expected 2027).

What I Build

My work centers on platform engineering and infrastructure automation. Day to day that means owning the full lifecycle of Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters, writing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Ansible, building GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and integrating storage systems like Nutanix, NetApp, and S3-compatible object storage into production platforms.

A recurring theme across my career has been operating in constrained environments: air-gapped networks, geographically isolated sites, systems with strict change management. I've learned to build reliable systems that don't depend on external access and to document and automate processes so that operations can continue when I'm not in the room.

Outside of work I run a self-hosted homelab on bare metal, including a GPU inference cluster, a Proxmox hypervisor stack, and 20+ services operated from my home network. This site itself is hosted on that infrastructure.
